The Oklahoma City Thunder were able to take a 2-1 lead in their series with the Los Angeles Clippers by beating them 118-112 in Game 3 on Friday night. The Thunder shot 56% from the field in the game and were able to hold the Clippers to just 45%.

The first quarter was high scoring for both teams, but the Clippers finished the period with a 33-29 lead. The Thunder narrowed the lead to one point going into the half, but Los Angeles extended it back to three going into the final period. Oklahoma City took off in the fourth quarter and finished off the Clippers late despite a nice late run from the home team.

Kevin Durant led the way for the Thunder by scoring a game-high 36 points on 14-of-24 shooting. He also had eight rebounds and six assists in the game.

Russell Westbrook nearly had another triple-double for Oklahoma City with 23 points, 13 assists and eight rebounds in the win. Serge Ibaka made nine of his 10 field goal attempts and finished with 20 points and six rebounds.

Blake Griffin did his best to keep the Clippers in it all game, scoring a team-high 36 points, grabbing eight boards and blocking three shots in the loss. Chris Paul had 21 points and 16 assists for the hosts, while DeAndre Jordan contributed 10 points, 11 rebounds and three blocks.
