There is no secret about it, the Philadelphia 76ers have had a struggling season and things would not get better for them when they played the New York Knicks last time. The Knicks added a fourth game to their win streak in a game where they had four players score more than 20 points. In this high scoring game, the Knicks fell just shy of their season-high points total in the win against the 76ers 123-110.

Amar'e Stoudemire had 23 points to tie his season high, as Stoudemire started his fifth straight game for the Knicks. Up until that point he was a bench player in all but one game this season. Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points as did J.R. Smith. Tim Hardaway Jr. had 28 points and did most of the scoring for his team in the fourth quarter, including scoring 13 points in the last 12 minutes, helping the Knicks 6 point lead going into the fourth grow to 21.

It wasn't all Knicks the whole game. In fact, up until the forth quarter, the 76ers were able to keep the game pretty close and even held the lead at times. If it weren't for Hardaway's forceful fourth quarter efforts the game could have went down in a different direction. Scoring for the 76ers were Tony Wroten, who had 23 pts, Thaddeus Young had 18 pts and James Anderson finished out with 17. Michael Carter-Williams recorded a triple-double with 23pts, 13 rebounds, and 10 assists, but none of their efforts could break their worst losing streak since their 1972-73 season.
