The New York Knicks will go on the road on Monday night to face the excellent defense of the Houston Rockets. Last season, the Rockets were able to win both of their matchups against the Knicks.

On Saturday, the Knicks held off a late rally by the Philadelphia 76ers to beat them 91-83 at home. They shot 50 percent from the floor in that game and they made 19 of their 21 free throw attempts.

Through their first 14 games, the Knicks have only been able to score around 95 points per game against their opponents. All-Star Carmelo Anthony has scored a team-high 23.9 points per game this season while making 47.5 percent of his shots.

The Rockets were able to snap their two-game losing skid on Saturday night when they defeated the Dallas Mavericks 95-92 at home. Their defense was excellent in that win, holding the Mavs to just a 39.8 percent field goal percentage.

So far this season, the Rockets are one of the top rebounding teams in the NBA by averaging over 43 rebounds per game. Shooting guard James Harden has had a very good start to the season by scoring 24.4 points per game, and he also leads the team in assists with 6.7 per game. Center Dwight Howard has scored 18.8 points per game while being able to make 57.5 percent of his shots.
