The New York Knicks will be going on the road on Wednesday night to take on the league's top scoring team in the Dallas Mavericks. The Knicks and the Mavs played each other twice last year, with both teams coming away with one win.

The Knicks have now lost three out of their last four games after losing 91-86 to the Houston Rockets on Monday night. Turnovers killed them in that loss as they coughed it up 17 times.

Through 15 games, the Knicks have only been able to score around 95 points per game against their opponents. All-Star Carmelo Anthony is now averaging 23.2 points per game while grabbing 5.8 boards per game. Amar'e Stoudemire is averaging 11.7 points and a team-high 7.4 rebounds per game so far this season.

After their hot start to the season, the Mavericks have now lost two in a row after taking a 111-100 defeat at the hands of the Indiana Pacers. They didn't play poorly in that game, but the Pacers did end up with a 44-37 rebounding advantage over them.

Dallas has the top scoring team in the NBA right now, but they are in the bottom 10 in rebounding. Veteran power forward Dirk Nowitzki is still one of the most efficient players in the NBA by averaging 19 points per game and making over 51 percent of his shots.
