The New York Knicks, who are just 1-8 on the road this season, will be visiting the Charlotte Hornets on Friday night.

In their first meeting of the year, the Knicks were able to defeat the Hornets 96-93 on their home court. New York had one of their better shooting nights in that win, making 50 percent of their shots.

Knicks All-Star Carmelo Anthony has played against Charlotte 32 times in his career, averaging 28.2 points and 6.2 rebounds per game against them. Shooting guard Iman Shumpert has averaged 10.4 points per game against the Hornets in 11 career games, while veteran J.R. Smith has been able to average 12.7 points per game against them in 18 games.

The Hornets lost their 10th game in a row on Wednesday night when the Chicago Bulls beat them 102-95 in Charlotte. They only turned the ball over five times in that game, but they were also only able to make 40 percent of their shots.

Through 19 games, the Hornets have only been able to average 93.7 points per game against their opponents. Center Al Jefferson has been their most efficient player by averaging 19.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. Shooting guard Gary Neal has come off of the bench to average 12.3 points in just 24.8 minutes per game, while Lance Stephenson has averaged 10.1 points and 7.7 rebounds per game in his first year with the team.
