The Knicks beat the Celtics 114-88 the last time these two teams met.  This game was as ugly as the score would suggest it was.  Carmelo Anthony was having his best three games of the season and continued his streak by scoring 28 points on the Celtics.  Anthony was shooting an excellent 55.8 percent during his hot streak and he proved too hard to handle for the Celtics.

This was not a game anyone would have been happy they bought tickets for, especially if they were Celtics fans, because the Knicks had a tight grasp on this game from the beginning.  At one point the Knicks led the Celtics by 35 points during the 3rd quarter and for the majority of the game the Knicks has a double digit lead.

The New York Knicks have struggled all season and have only strung together four wins once this season, but they have looked strong in some games.  The Boston Celtics are also struggling and at one point of the season had a 1-12 run.  Both teams are sitting at the bottom of the Eastern Conference with little chance at making a playoff run.
