It's been tough for opposing teams to go into the AT&T Center in San Antonio and escape with a win, but with the best record in the NBA the Spurs don't plan on going anywhere. To compound the interest in the game is a passing of the guard of sorts as Tim Duncan winds down his career and Anthony Davis discovers he just may be unstoppable.

The Pelicans have won four straight up and against the spread games in a row and have gone 7-3 overall in their last 10. A team 24 games behind San Antonio rarely ignites excitement but New Orleans' recent play has given their fans a glimpse into the future. In his past five games Anthony Davis has scored 16,24,30,34, and 40 points with rebound numbers of 13,14,11,11, and 21. The 40 point, 21 rebound output against Boston is reminiscent of Duncan in his prime and gives a glimpse of Davis' potential dominance.

On a year when the Spurs are supposed to fade into the sunset, they've arguably been better than ever. San Antonio isn't just winning, they've been dominating ATS going 8-1 their last 9.

Both teams will be playing Saturday nights game on the second end of a back to back after Friday night tilts. In their last meeting the Spurs went into New Orleans as just -3.5 road favorites and were able to leave with a 102-95 win. Davis had 17 points and 16 rebounds but Duncan and Tony Parker were their old selves with 21 and 32 points respectively to push the total over 193.5.
