The New Orleans Pelicans will head out on the road to take on the Los Angeles Clippers on Saturday night in a game between two teams averaging over 100 points per game. The Clippers were able to win three out of their four games against the Pelicans last season.

On Thursday night, the Pelicans were outscored 31-12 in the second quarter of their game against the Golden State Warriors and went on to lose 112-85. They turned the ball over 17 times in that loss and were outrebounded 56-47.

So far this season, the Pelicans have been able to score 100.2 points per while giving up 99.9 points per game to their opponents. Power forward Anthony Davis has a fantastic 33.7 PER this year by averaging 25.2 points, 11.5 rebounds and 3.1 blocks per game.

The Clippers won their sixth game in a row on Wednesday night when they blew out the Orlando Magic 114-86 at home. They shot 53.8 percent from the field in that victory while also outrebounding the Magic 44-34.

Through their first 18 games of the year, the Clippers are in the top five in scoring by averaging 105.6 points per game. All-Star power forward Blake Griffin has scored a team-high 22.5 points per game this season while grabbing 7.6 rebounds per game. Point guard Chris Paul has been one of the best players in the league this year by averaging 17.9 points, 9.5 assists and 2.1 steals per game.
