On Tuesday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will try to end their long losing streak when they go up against the Utah Jazz.

Last season, the Wolves were able to win three out of their four games against the Jazz, including two wins on the road. The Jazz did get the last laugh, though, by defeating the Wolves 136-130 in overtime in both teams' final game of the season.

Jazz power forward Derrick Favors has averaged 8.2 points and 7.5 rebounds per game against Minnesota in his career, while small forward Gordon Hayward has been able to score 11.2 points per game in 13 career games against them. Forward Trevor Booker has scored 5.3 points per game while grabbing four rebounds per game against the Wolves.

On Saturday night, the Timberwolves lost their eighth consecutive game when the Golden State Warriors beat them 110-97 on the road. The Wolves did end up making eight of their 19 three-pointers in that loss, but they also turned the ball over 24 times.

So far this year, the Timberwolves are in the bottom half of the NBA in scoring, rebounding and points allowed per game. Small forward Shabazz Muhammad has had a decent start to the season by averaging 13.3 points and nearly four rebounds per game. Rookie Andrew Wiggins has scored 12.8 points per game, but he has made less than 40 percent of his shots.
