The Minnesota Timberwolves will travel to the Big Easy on Friday night to take on the New Orleans Pelicans. The Timberwolves are looking to snap their three game losing streak. Minnesota took a 113-101 loss to the Houston Rockets on Wednesday in Mexico City. For New Orleans, they are seeking their second straight win. The Pelicans are 4-3 overall and have won 3 out of 4 at home this season.

The New Orleans Pelicans are coming off a 109-102 win over the Los Angeles Lakers on Wednesday night. New Orleans used a 34 point third quarter to aide the way. Anthony Davis recorded yet another double-double in the win, as he scored 25 points and ripped down 12 rebounds. Pelicans small forward Tyreke Evans has been effective, as he scored 19 in the win, and has scored 15.8 per game so far. The Pelicans are fifth in the NBA in rebounding with 45.8 per game.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are without the services of their point guard Ricky Rubio until possibly the New Year. Zach Lavine filled in at the point on Wednesday night, scoring 8 points and dishing out 9 assists. Andrew Wiggins, the top pick in the 2014 draft scored 15 points in the loss, and is now scoring 10 per game. Kevin Martin and Thaddeus Young are the two top scoring threats with Rubio gone. Martin is scoring 18.3 per game, but had just 12 Wednesday night. Young, who came over from Philadelphia is scoring 14.3 per game, despite adding just 6 in the loss to the Rockets.
