The Miami Heat were able to beat the Minnesota Timberwolves 103-82 the last time these two teams played thanks to great defense and a near triple-double from their four-time MVP. The Heat were able to force the Timberwolves into bad shots all night and held them to just 29.3% shooting from the field. The Wolves also made just five of their 22 three-point attempts in the game.

The Heat, who had come off of two straight games where they didn't rebound well, were able to grab 17 offensive boards in this one. The total rebound numbers were close with the Wolves having the 45-44 edge, but those offensive boards that the Heat had allowed them to maintain their lead throughout the game.

LeBron James came two assists away from notching yet another triple-double, scoring 21 points, grabbing 14 rebounds and dishing out eight dimes. Dwyane Wade was the only other Miami starter to score in double digits with 19 points.

Kevin Martin was able to score 19 points for the Timberwolves, but he shot just 5-for-16 from the field. Center Nikola Pekovic was probably Minnesota's top player on the night, scoring 18 points and grabbing 12 rebounds in the loss. Point guard Ricky Rubio had just one point in the game, but he did contribute six assists, five rebounds and three steals for the home team.
