It’s the opening game for both teams in the NBA. The Minnesota Timberwolves, who are upbeat about their 2014-2015 season will head out to Memphis and take on the Grizzlies Wednesday night. The Minnesota Timberwolves finished a season ago with 40 wins, while the Memphis Grizzlies were the 7th seed in the Western Conference, winning 50 games.

Minnesota wrapped up their pre-season with a win over Chicago on Friday night. The Timberwolves got a bit of a face lift, sending Kevin Love to Cleveland and garnering several young players. Andew Wiggins and Anthony Bennett, along with Thadeous Young should help Flip Saunders team. Minnesota will use the point guard abilities from Ricky Rubio to run the offense. A season ago, Rubio dished out nearly 9 assists per game. The Timberwolves will finish this game in Memphis, and then come home and play their home opener on Thursday against the Detroit Pistons.

For the home team - Memphis Grizzlies, they are seeking another big season out of the big man Zach Randolph. Last season Randolph led the team with 17.4 points per game and also 10.1 rebounds per game. In the preseason finale on Friday, Jon Leuer led the team with 27 points and also picked up 7 rebounds. The Grizzlies went 3-5 during pre-season play. The Grizzlies, following this game will head out to Indianapolis and take on the battered up Indiana Pacers out of the Eastern Conference
