The Memphis Grizzlies are trying to hold onto eighth place in the Western Conference, and they are just one game ahead of Phoenix right now. The Grizzlies are 13-7 on the road and when they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves in the last game they played, they increased their road winning streak to six with a win of 94-90.

The Grizzlies found help in their win from Zach Randolph, who had 26 points and 12 rebounds and Marc Gasol, who had 9 points, six rebounds, two blocks, two assists, and two steals. Mike Conley had 12 points, three boards, eight assists, and three steals, but was knocked out of the game when he sprained his right ankle by landing on J.J. Barea's foot. That could be very costly for the Grizzlies as he scored a combined 46 points in his last two outings.

The Timberwolves would see help from their star, Kevin Love, who was playing on a sore left ankle throughout the second half. He led the Wolves with 28 points and 16 rebounds. Love hurt his ankle when he collided in the air with Gasol on a drive with 2 minutes to go in the first half. Love toughed it out until halftime, although he was obviously hurting. Also contributing to the Timberwolves points total was Kevin Martin, who had 14 points, and coming off the bench was Barea and Dante Cunningham, who both scored 12points apiece.
