On Friday night, the Minnesota Timberwolves will attempt to snap their three-game losing skid when they play the Boston Celtics. The Wolves and the Celtics split their two-game series against each other a season ago.

On Tuesday, the Timberwolves scored just 36 first-half points in their game against the Washington Wizards and ended up losing 109-95 on the road. They were outrebounded 46-41 in that loss and were only able to make three three-pointers.

Minnesota's defense has been one of the worst in the Western Conference this season by giving up 108.5 points per game. Small forward Thaddeus Young is averaging 14.5 points and 4.6 rebounds per game this year, while center Nikola Pekovic is the team's top rebounder with 8.1 per game. Small forward Shabazz Muhammad has come off of the bench to score 12.4 points per game this season.

In their game against the Orlando Magic on Wednesday night, the Celtics played an excellent second half and rolled to a 109-92 home win. They shot the ball very well in that win, making 55 percent of their field goal attempts.

The Celtics are now in the top 10 in the league in scoring, but they are near the bottom of the Eastern Conference in points allowed. Power forward Kelly Olynyk has played well this season, averaging 11.4 points and 5.6 rebounds per game while making 52.1 percent of his shots.
