The Milwaukee Bucks are set to visit Charlotte to take on the Hornets. Both teams have been committed to recent development with the Hornets a little further along in their development. Last season the Charlotte Hornets made a playoff run after winning more than 50% of their games in the regular season. Michael Jordan, as the team owner, was pleasantly surprised with last year’s performance. As a former player, Jordan’s competitive nature lives on as a long-term strategy for the organization. Jordan is excited about the acquisition of Lance Stephenson, though he admits it was a bit of a gamble. Stephenson made a name for himself last season as the player who blew in LeBron James’ ear during a playoff game. Despite his antics, Jordan was impressed with Stephenson’s competitive nature and willingness to challenge the greatest player in the game today. Stephenson also showed extreme versatility last season by leading the league in triple doubles. Al Jefferson is another key component to the Hornets’ roster. He possesses a commanding presence in the post, which opens plays up for his teammates.

The Bucks are looking to revitalize this organization after winning only 15 out of 82 games last season. The team is under new ownership, has acquired several new players, and has brought on Jason Kidd as the Head Coach. This is Jason Kidd’s second season in a Head Coaching position, but he is certainly no stranger to the game. The former NBA player has an extremely high basketball I.Q. stemming from his days as an All-Star point guard and playing the off-guard as well as the small-forward positions later in his career. Kidd claims that developing trust among his player will contribute to his success and his team’s success. The team will be with out Larry Sanders, Carlos Delino, and Zaza Pachulia for their season opener due to injuries.
