The Atlanta Hawks came home to beef up their game and hand the Bucks their 8th loss in 9 games against the them the last time these 2 teams met. A 112-87 victory was supplemented by Paul Millsap who scored 20 points and helped six other Hawks find their way into double figures.

Millsap scored 14 points during a 25-5 run that started late in the second-quarter and did not end until 8:24 was left in the third. By time the fourth-quarter rolled around, the Hawks pulled ahead to a 96-64 lead. Also helping the Hawks to the win was Louis Williams who had 18 points. Shelvin Mack started for Jeff Teague who was sitting out due to a sprained ankle. Mack managed to put in 9 points. Atlanta also put in 14-of-24 3-pointers on the night. That was quite an improvement from their 2-of-13 showing in their previous game against the Spurs. Kyle Korver was 3-of-4 from three-point territory, extending his NBA record to 112 consecutive games with a 3-pointer.

Brandon Knight scored 27 for the Bucks while Ersan Ilyasova and Chris Middleton scored 11 apiece. John Henson and Caron Butler came off the bench to score 10pts. This was Milwaukee coach Larry Drew's first game against the Hawks since he was let go from Atlanta last season. He was more than disappointed with his team and held a 21 minute speech at half-time that expressed his feelings.
