The Miami Heat didn't have the best game when they last took on the Washington Wizards, but they were able to use solid first and fourth quarters to take the 99-90 home win in early March. The Wizards actually dominated the boards in the game by a tune of 50-33, but Miami held them to just 40.4% shooting from the floor and forced them into 18 turnovers.

Miami started the game on fire and went into the second quarter with a 31-22 lead. The lead didn't change going into the half, but the Wizards fought back in the third quarter and were down by just one going into the fourth. Miami found their groove again, though, and used a 12-0 scoring run to pull away for good.

Dwyane Wade did most of his work late in the game for the Heat and ended up with 22 points, six assists and five rebounds for the hosts. LeBron James made 10 of his 15 field goal attempts in the game and finished with 23 points, eight assists and seven rebounds. As for the third part of the Big 3, Chris Bosh was able to put up 22 points and grabbed seven rebounds.

Marcin Gortat was the only Wizards' starter to have a solid game, tying his career-best in rebounds with 18 and also scoring 14 points in the loss. Small forward Martell Webster came off of the bench for the Wiz to score 17 points.
