In an NBA Finals rematch, the San Antonio Spurs traveled to American Airlines Arena to take on the Miami Heat on Jan. 26. The Heat were able to top the Spurs 113-101. Chris Bosh led Miami in scoring with 24 points and contributed five rebounds, three assists and a steal. This game was never in question as the Heat led the entire way and at one point were up by 29. LeBron James had a stellar night with 18 points, seven rebounds, six assists and a steal. It was also Dwyane Wade's first game back after a nine day break and he chose to come off the bench for the first time in over six years. Wade ended up with eight points, three rebounds, and five assists in this one.
San Antonio was never able to catch up to Miami. It didn't help they were without Kawhi Leonard, Tiago Splitter, and Danny Green. However, every team deals with injuries and the Spurs weren't able to overcome them. Tim Duncan finished the game with 23 points, three rebounds, 2 steals a block. Tony Parker contributed with 11 points, one rebound, seven assists and a steal.
This win by the Heat made it five straight regular season wins against the Spurs. However, the two teams are deadlocked against the spread going 5-5 over their last 10 head to head matchups. The Miami Heat have covered in four out the last five times they've played. The Heat are also on fire in covering the spread over the last month having covered eight times.
San Antonio hasn't played as well ATS over the last month and is sitting below .500.
Both teams are coming off back to back games and the Spurs will be looking to get some revenge when they face the Heat at home.
