The Miami Heat were able to beat the Indiana Pacers 97-94 in late December in a game that featured the two top teams from the Eastern Conference. The Heat were able to come back to top the Pacers thanks to a 10-0 run late in the game which was capped off by a late Ray Allen three-pointer.

The Pacers looked to be on their way to a nice road win when they went into the half leading by 11 points over the defending champs. They upped their lead to 15 points halfway through the third quarter, but then the Heat took over. Much of Miami's comeback was thanks to their stars, including Allen, whose three-pointer with under a minute to go gave the Heat the lead for good.

Dwyane Wade was Miami's top player on the night, going 15-for-25 from the field for 32 points and he added three steals as well. LeBron James had 24 points in the game to go along with nine rebounds, seven assists and three steals of his own.

The Pacers relied heavily on Paul George and David West in this one. George scored 25 points, pulled down eight rebounds and added six assists, while West added 23 points in the loss.

One of the more interesting parts of the game came in the third quarter when James and point guard Mario Chalmers got into a an argument on the sidelines. Chalmers had multiple turnovers and fouls in the quarter and didn't get back into the game after the exchange.
