LeBron James had a near triple-double the last time the Miami Heat faced the Detroit Pistons, leading his team to a 102-96 home victory. The game was close through three quarters, but the Heat never gave up the lead in the final quarter.

James finished the game with 24 points, 11 assists and eight rebounds. He looked like he was going to be able to get the elusive triple-double, but he couldn't grab a rebound in the last couple minutes of the game. One of the reasons he couldn't get a board was because teammate Dwyane Wade was going for a double-double of his own and grabbed a couple of the rebounds that James thought he could get to.

Wade had one of his better games of the season, finishing with 30 points and 10 rebounds in 37 minutes played. He made 13 of the 19 shots he took, which was a great sign for Miami fans who feared his best games were behind him following multiple knee injuries.

Brandon Jennings was the go-to guy for Detroit in the loss, scoring 26 points and dishing out seven assists. However, he made just two of the seven 3-pointers he shot in the game. Greg Monroe and Andre Drummond pitched in with a double-double apiece, but it wasn't enough to hold off the top team in the Southeast Division.
