The Miami Heat will play in their sixth game of the season on Sunday night when they take on the high-flying offense of the Dallas Mavericks.

During the 2013-14 season, the Heat and the Mavs played each other two times, with Miami winning both of those games. They won the first game 110-104, then beat them 117-106 on the road near the end of the season.

Heat power forward Chris Bosh has faced the Mavs 22 times in his career and has averaged 19.5 points and 8.9 rebounds per game. Shooting guard Dwyane Wade is averaging 22.7 points and 5.9 assists per game against Dallas, while point guard Mario Chalmers has averaged 10 points and 4.3 assists against them in his career.

The Mavericks picked up their second road win of the season on Friday by easily beating the Utah Jazz 105-82 on the road. Their defense was very good in that win by forcing the Jazz into committing 21 turnovers. With that win, they moved into third place in the Southwest.

Through their first six games, the Mavs are second in the NBA in scoring with 106.5 points per game. Veteran Dirk Nowitzki has been able to score 21.2 points per game while grabbing 5.8 rebounds per game. Point guard Devin Harris is averaging 11.3 points and a team-high five assists per game so far this season.
