The last time the Chicago Bulls visited the Miami Heat, the Heat were missing Lebron James. James was a late scratch from the lineup as he wasn't sure if he would play after breaking his nose against Oklahoma City. Someone forgot to tell the other Heat players that they weren't supposed to be as good without James. The Heat rolled the Bulls 93-79 behind a strong second half performance where they outscored the Bulls 53-39.
Dwyane Wade led the Heat with 23 points, 10 rebounds, seven assists, two steals and a block. Wade led the second half surge that put the Bulls away. The defense by the Heat deserve a mention as well. The Heat forced seven shot clock violations and 12 individual turnovers. Chicago ended the game shooting 35.8 percent from the field. D.J. Augustine was the worst of the group going 0-for-10 on the night. Chris Bosh also played a solid game and had a game high 28 points for the Heat.
Over the last 10 head-to-head regular season matchups between the Heat and Bulls, they have split 5-5 straight up. However, the Heat have won three of the last four with three of these coming at home. Over that same period of time, the Heat are 5-5 against the spread. Something to note in these games is that the home team seems to win the majority of the games straight up and ATS.
Both teams have played well ATS over the last month. At one point the Heat had run off six straight wins ATS while the Bulls had covered in 8-of-10. Both teams have performed well ATS this season so when these two teams meet, anything can happen.
This game may come down to home court advantage but no matter where this game is played, it most certainly will be a fun game to watch.
