The Miami Heat won their sixth straight playoff game by beating the Brooklyn Nets 94-82 on Thursday night to take a 2-0 lead in the series. The Nets did well on the boards to take a 43-36 rebounding advantage in the game, but the Heat made 49% of their shots and held Brooklyn to just 43%.
Brooklyn started the game much better than they did in Game 1 and took a 21-15 lead into the second quarter. Miami would respond, though, and were down by just one point at the half and continued that momentum all the way into the fourth quarter. The Nets would mount a bit of a comeback, but the Heat upped their defensive pressure down the stretch and held on for the twelve-point win.
LeBron James made nine of his 18 shot attempts in the game and finished with 22 points and two steals in the win. Chris Bosh added 18 points and six rebounds for the Heat, while Ray Allen came off of the bench to score 13 points and grab eight boards.
Mirza Teletovic came off of the bench for the Nets to score a game-high 20 points on seven of 12 shooting from the floor. Shaun Livingston had 15 points in the game and Joe Johnson added 13 points. Kevin Garnett had 12 rebounds for New Jersey, but he only went 2-of-8 from the floor and finished with four points.
