The Miami Heat, who are 2-2 on the road so far this season, will be visiting the Brooklyn Nets on Monday night.

The Nets were one of just a couple of teams that the Heat couldn't figure out a season ago. Brooklyn beat them in all four of their meetings last year, including two games in Miami. Most of the games were close, though, as three of four of them were decided by one point.

Heat forward Chris Bosh has been able to average 17.8 points and 6.7 rebounds per game in 39 career games against the Nets. Small forward Luol Deng has scored 15.9 points per game and grabbed seven rebounds per game against Brooklyn, while Dwyane Wade has averaged 23.4 points per game against them in his career.

On Saturday night, the Nets lost their third straight game when they were defeated 97-87 by the Portland Trail Blazers. They couldn't make their shots from beyond the arc in that loss, making just one of their 19 three-point attempts.

The Nets have struggled on defense through their first nine games, giving up 100.6 points per game to their opponents. Small forward Joe Johnson has been their best all-around player by scoring 19.1 points per game and grabbing 5.7 rebounds per game. Center Brook Lopez is averaging 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game.
