The last time the Atlanta Hawks faced the Miami Heat, they were able to use a solid second half to pull off the 121-114 win. The victory was just the first for the Hawks against the Heat this season, but if they win on Saturday, they will have earned a split of the four-game season series.

The two teams showed right from the beginning what type of game it was going to be by getting up a lot of shots and knocking a bunch of them down. When they went into halftime, the teams had combined for 141 points with the Hawks leading 71-70.

In the second half, the scoring was normalized as the Hawks started to control the game. They were able to take a five-point lead into the fourth quarter, but the Heat had a three-point lead with about seven minutes to go. After multiple lead changes, the Hawks made their shots and their free throws to pull off the upset.

Paul Millsap was the Hawks' best player in the game, scoring 26 points, including making 10 of his 11 free throws, and grabbing seven rebounds. Small forward DeMarre Carroll added 19 points and six rebounds in the win.

Heat star LeBron James had a good game in the losing effort, putting up 30 points and dishing out six assists. Chris Bosh had 21 points and seven rebounds.
