The last time the Memphis Grizzlies took on the lowly Utah Jazz, the Grizzlies pulled off a 96-86 win behind a double-double by their star center Marc Gasol. After taking a 16-point lead into the half, Memphis seemed to take their foot off the gas and the Jazz tied the score in the fourth quarter. The Grizzlies picked up their defensive effort, though, and were able to hold on for the 10-point win.

Gasol finished the game with 20 points, 10 rebounds and 4 blocks, while fellow big man Zach Randolph ended up with a double-double of his own with 21 points and 11 rebounds. Point guard Mike Conley had 18 points and 7 assists in the win.

Enes Kanter lead the way for the Jazz with 12 points and 12 boards. Trey Burke, Gordon Hayward, and Alec Burks had 16 points apiece in the losing effort. Hayward started out cold on the night, taking eight shots and making one of them. Derrick Favors ended up with just six points after making three of his 10 field goal attempts.

The key stat of the game came at the charity stripe, with Memphis making 22 of the 25 free throws they attempted. The Jazz only made it to the line five times in the game and made all five of them.

Utah's loss made them 1-12 during one of their worst stretches of the season.
