On Wednesday night, the Memphis Grizzlies will be visiting the San Antonio Spurs in a game that will feature two of the top five defenses in the NBA.

The first time these two teams met this season, the Spurs were able to defeat the Grizzlies 107-101 in Memphis. Spurs power forward Tim Duncan had a triple-double in that win by notching 14 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists.

Grizzlies center Marc Gasol has been able to average 12.5 points and 7.9 rebounds per game against the Spurs in his career, while point guard Mike Conley has scored 15 points per game against them in 26 career games. Veteran big man Zach Randolph seems to like facing San Antonio as he is now averaging 15.1 points and 8.8 rebounds per game against them.

On Monday night, the Spurs were outscored 60-52 in the second half of their game against the Portland Trail Blazers and ended up losing 108-95 at home. They were outrebounded 46-42 in that loss and ended up turning the ball over 15 times.

So far this season, the Spurs are in the top five in points allowed by only giving up 95.4 points per game. Point guard Tony Parker is currently the leading scorer on the team by averaging 16 points per game. Power forward Tim Duncan is averaging a double-double of 14.7 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
