The No.1 seed Oklahoma City Thunder were able to hold off a huge comeback from the No. 8 seed Memphis Grizzlies on Saturday night to win 100-86 and take a 1-0 series lead. The Grizzlies were held to just 36.3% shooting on the night and were outrebounded 51-41 by the Thunder.

Oklahoma City, the NBA's fifth-best scoring team, got off to a flying start in the game and led 29-16 after the first period. They continued their hot shooting ways in the second period and were able to take a 56-34 lead into the half. The Grizzlies came out of the locker room looking like a completely different team and were able to cut the lead down to four heading into the final quarter. The Thunder then relied on their star forward Kevin Durant to help them regain the momentum and eventually win by 14 points.

Durant finished the game with 33 points, including 13 in the fourth quarter, and also added seven assists and eight rebounds. Point guard Russell Westbrook contributed 23 points and 10 rebounds, while power forward Serge Ibaka had 17 points, nine rebounds and four blocks.

Grizzlies power forward Zach Randolph finished with 21 points and 11 rebounds, but he was pretty cold all night and made just seven of his 21 field goal attempts. Mike Conley had a double-double for Memphis with 16 points and 11 assists, while Tony Allen came off of the bench to score 13 points and grab six boards.
