Now that the Heat have put their mini slump behind them, they look to build on an impressive 26-6 home record against the surging Grizzlies. Memphis has won 7 of their last 10 as they look to hold off Phoenix and retain the Western Conference 8 seed.

Miami lost 5 of 6 over a 10 day stretch in March, which all but cost them the Eastern Conference's top playoff seed. The Heat rebounded nicely with back to back wins over Houston and Cleveland and looks to make one last surge with 17 games remaining. Miami is also in the tough spot of trying to get veteran players some rest before the playoffs begin but Saturday night's spot in New Orleans after a back to back on Friday might be a better spot for a break.

The Grizzlies have covered the number in 4 of their last 6 games and have built a 1.5 game lead over the Suns in the race for the last playoff slot in the West. Memphis has been playing well over the last 2/3 of the season. Since losing 10 of 13 games toward the end of November and start of December the Grizzlies have lost only 11 games.

This will be the first meeting of the two squads in over a year. A majority of the key players return for this matchup except Memphis coach Lionel Hollins, who was famously fired last off-season even after making the Western Conference Finals. It will be interesting to see if his replacement David Joerger can exact revenge on last season's 91-98 loss in Miami. Marc Gasol led Memphis in that game with 24 points and 9 rebounds but it wasn't enough to overcome 5 Heat in double figures including 22 points from Dwyane Wade. Memphis' 7 point loss was still enough to cover the 7.5 spread while the total went over by 1.5 points.
