The last time the Memphis Grizzlies and the Los Angeles Lakers squared off, the Grizzlies were able to come away with the 108-103 win and moved to 2-1 in the season series between the two teams. The Lakers were able to make seven three-pointers in the fourth quarter, but it wasn't enough to comeback from a huge early deficit.

Memphis shot nearly 60% in the first half to help them get out to a 65-46 lead going into the locker rooms. The Lakers narrowed that lead down to nine points after outscoring the Grizzlies 27-17 in the 3rd quarter, but Memphis did just enough to make sure that Los Angeles was never able to get closer than three points the rest of the way.

Marc Gasol had a good all-around game for the Grizzlies by scoring 14 points, pulling down 12 rebounds and also adding five assists in the win. Shooting guard Courtney Lee was Memphis' top scorer on the night, scoring 18 points and also dishing out five assists for the hosts. Shooting guard Tony Allen came off the bench to score 17 points and grab six rebounds.

The Lakers made 15 of their 28 three-point attempts in the game, but it wasn't enough to pull off the win. Wesley Johnson and Jordan Farmar had four three-pointers apiece, while Pau Gasol pitched in with a double-double by scoring 17 points and pulling down 10 rebounds.
