On Wednesday, the Memphis Grizzlies will be going for their third win in a row when they visit the Los Angeles Lakers. In their first matchup of the season, the Grizzlies came away with a 107-102 win over the Lakers at home.

On Sunday, the Grizzlies improved to 8-0 at home on the season when they easily beat the Los Angeles Clippers 107-91. They did have 17 turnovers in that game, but they also had a huge 52-32 rebounding advantage over the Clippers.

Memphis is currently third in the NBA in points allowed by only giving up 92.4 points per game. Marc Gasol has been one of the best centers in the league through 14 games by averaging 19.9 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.5 blocks and 1.2 steals per game for the Grizzlies.

The Lakers lost their second straight game on Sunday night when they Denver Nuggets beat them 101-94 in overtime. Their problem in that game was their poor three-point shooting, finishing just 3-for-24 from beyond the arc.

Through their first 14 games, the Lakers are in the bottom 10 in the league in rebounding and assists per game, and they are dead least in points allowed. Shooting guard Kobe Bryant is one of the league's top scorers at 26.7 points per game, but he has only made 38 percent of his shots so far this season.
