On Wednesday, the Memphis Grizzlies will try to extend their long winning streak when they take on the equally-hot Houston Rockets. A few weeks ago, the Grizzlies were able to blow out the Rockets by the score of 119-93 at home.

On Sunday, the Grizzlies won their fifth game in a row when they defeated the Sacramento Kings 97-85 on the road. Their defense was very solid in that win, forcing the Kings into committing 23 turnovers.

So far this season, the Grizzlies have scored 100.4 points per game while only giving up 92.4 points per game. Through 17 games, center Marc Gasol is averaging a team-high 20.1 points per game while grabbing 8.1 rebounds per game. Zach Randolph is averaging 16.3 points per game and is leading the team in rebounds with 11.7 boards per game.

The Rockets have now won four out of their last five games after beating the Milwaukee Bucks 117-103 on the road on Saturday night. They shot well from beyond the arc in that win, making 15 of their 38 three-point attempts.

The Rockets are in the bottom half of the league in scoring right now, but they are third in points allowed by giving up just 92.8 points per game. Shooting guard James Harden has an excellent 25.1 PER through 17 games by averaging 25.2 points, 6.2 rebounds and 6.8 assists per game.
