The Los Angeles Lakers will be traveling to San Antonio to take on the red hot Spurs on Friday. Their last meeting was at the beginning of the season when the Lakers had everyone but Kobe. This is about the healthiest the Lakers were all season and they still took a 91-85 loss behind the solid play of Tony Parker. The Spurs were also missing Tim Duncan on this night but that didn't stop Parker from leading the Spurs with 24 points, four rebounds, and six assists for the win.
The Spurs went down early by 15 and went into the half down 42-41. They came out in the second half and outscored the Lakers 22-19 in the third quarter. However, this game was tied with almost two minutes to go before Parker hit a jump shot and Manu Ginobili got a steal and a dunk to put the game away. Ginobili had 20 points, three rebounds and an assist, and Kawhi Leonard added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the win.
This game had 14 lead changes and was a tough one coming down to the final minutes but with both teams missing arguably their best players, the Spurs were able to better cope.
The Lakers were led by Pau Gasol with 20 points, 11 rebounds, an assist and two blocks in the loss.
