Sunday night, the Los Angeles Lakers will make their way to the Target Center to take on the Minnesota Timberwolves.

The Los Angeles Lakers will make their 2^nd stop on a 3 game road swing as they come to Minneapolis. On Friday night, the Lakers outlasted the San Antonio Spurs to take a 112 - 110 overtime victory. Unexpectedly, it was a close game early on as the teams played to a 25 -25 tie after the 1 ^st quarter. By halftime, the Lakers held 4 point advantage. That lead stretched to 11 points going into the 4^th quarter but the Spurs weren't finished. San Antonio rallied back to send the game into overtime but a late 3 pointer by Nick Young sealed the 2^nd straight win for the Lakers. If the Lakers can get the same type of production on Sunday, they should be able to get past the Timberwolves.

The Minnesota Timberwolves were no match for the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night and that led to a 111 -92 defeat. The Thunder pushed the Timberwolves aside early as they took an 18 point lead after the 1^st quarter. While the Timberwolves came close to getting back in the game a few times, the Thunder behind Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook were just too much for Minnesota. The Timberwolves have lost 7 of their last 8 games and things might get a lot worse before they get any better.
