On Tuesday night, two teams out of the Western Conference will get together at the FedEx Forum in Memphis. Los Angeles is coming off their first win of the season; Sunday over the Charlotte Hornets. The Lakers snapped their 5 game losing streak and left Philadelphia as the lone winless team in the NBA. For Memphis, they are tied with the Houston Rockets and Golden State Warriors in the Western Conference; all with just one loss on the season.

The Los Angeles Lakers used 65 second half points to down the Charlotte Hornets 107-92 on Sunday. In the win, Kobe Bryant and Jeremy Lin both scored 21, while Carlos Boozer added 16. The win for the Lakers also came due to the unselfish play, as Los Angeles came away with 28 assists in the game. In the loss to Phoenix on November 4th, veteran Kobe Bryant poured in 39 points, while Jeremy Lin added 18 and Jeremy Hill with 15. The Lakers are last in the NBA as they are allowing nearly 115 points per game on the defensive end.

The Memphis Grizzlies have started with a 6-1 record. The Grizzlies won their first six games, but then fell on Saturday at Milwaukee. The Grizzlies were led in scoring by Zach Randolph with 22 points and also 14 rebounds. Memphis is scoring 93 points per game, which ranks 25th, but they are the top defensive team, allowing 87.6 points per game. The Grizzlies top scorer on the season is Marc Gasol. The center is scoring 19.1 points per game.
