The Los Angeles Lakers will be taking on the Boston Celtics on Friday in a game between two of the worst defenses in the league. Last year, the Lakers and the Celtics played two games against each other, with the Lakers coming away the victors in both of them.

On Wednesday night, the Lakers had their two-game winning streak snapped when the Washington Wizards beat them 111-95 on the road. They turned the ball over 13 times in that loss and were only able to make 38.8 percent of their shots.

Through 19 games this season, the Lakers have the worst defense in the NBA by allowing their opponents to score 111.1 points per game against them. Veteran shooting guard Kobe Bryant leads the team with a 20 PER by averaging 26 points, 5.3 rebounds and nearly five assists per game. Center Jordan Hill has scored 13.7 points per game while bringing down a team-high 9.5 rebounds per game.

The Celtics were able to end their long losing streak on Wednesday when they beat the Detroit Pistons 109-102 in overtime. Small forward Jeff Green was excellent in that game, finishing with a game-high 32 points and also grabbing five rebounds.

So far this year, the Celtics have had a good offense, but they are giving up over 107 points per game. Green is now averaging a team-best 19 points per game while also grabbing 4.8 rebounds per game.
