Friday night, the Los Angeles Clippers will take the court at the Verizon Center as they face the Washington Wizards.  

The Los Angeles Clippers notched their 9th straight victory Wednesday night as they outlasted the Indiana Pacers 103 – 96.  The Clippers came out hot and took control in the 1st half en route to a 54 – 49 halftime lead. But the Pacers didn’t go away in the 2nd half.  After the Clippers built a double digit lead late, the Pacers climbed back into the game.  Had the Clippers not tightened up their defense, the Pacers might have pulled off the upset.  Los Angeles will need to play their best on both ends of the court as they take on a Washington team that is on a nice roll of their own. 

The Washington Wizards needed a last second shot Wednesday night to escape with a 91 – 89 victory over the Orlando Magic.  The game was relatively tight in the 1st half and although the Wizards led at the half, it was only a 1 point advantage.  Orlando took over in the 3rd and forced the Wizards to rally in the 4th.  It took a basket by Bradley Beal at the buzzer for the Wizards to pick up their 2nd win in a row and their 6th in their last 7 games.   The Wizards will face a much tougher opponent Friday night and they might not get a chance to rally if the Clippers play the way that they are capable of.
