Blake Griffin had one of the first quarters in recent memory the last time the Los Angeles Clippers took on the Phoenix Suns in a game the Clips ended up winning 112-105. The win gave the Clippers a 27-5 home record and was their second win in three matchups with the Suns this season.

Griffin has had a lot of good games this year, but his first quarter alone helped the Clippers to take a 34-23 lead into the second quarter and the fast start was the main reason they won the game. Griffin would end up scoring 22 in that quarter alone and would end up with 37 in the game before fouling out late in the fourth quarter. The Clippers' All-Star made shot after shot from multiple areas on the floor on his way to a 14-for-16 shooting night.

Before he fouled out, Griffin and Suns forward P.J. Tucker got entangled on the ground after Griffin fell on Tucker while trying to box him out. The two had words and wrestled for a few seconds, but no punches were thrown. Tucker was ejected for the incident, while Griffin stayed in the game.

Chris Paul had 17 points and 11 assists for the Clippers, while center DeAndre Jordan added 17 rebounds in the win. The Suns' top player on the night was Goran Dragic, who had 23 points and five assists.
