The Los Angeles Lakers would love to forget the last time they faced the Los Angeles Clippers. On Jan. 10 of this year, Blake Griffin and the Clippers blew out their in-city rival by a score of 123-87. Griffin ended the night with a sheet full of stats including 33 points, 12 rebounds, four assists, four steals and two blocks. This win over the Lakers set a franchise record by being the biggest margin of victory over the Lakers they've ever had.
DeAndre Jordan recorded 13 points and 10 rebounds, Darren Collison had 20 points and seven assists, and J.J. Redick accounted for 19 points in this dominant performance by the Clippers
Both teams were missing superstars. Chris Paul was sitting out with a shoulder injury while Kobe was dealing with his fractured left knee. With that being said, we're not sure Kobe could have stopped the onslaught the Clippers were bringing. The game was far out of reach in the fourth quarter with help from a 31-8 third quarter margin.
When looking at these two teams head to head over the last 10 games they've played each other, the Clippers are 6-4 straight up. However, the Clippers are 7-3 against the spread in head to head matchups. The Clippers are still rolling and have won seven of their last 10 games SU. They've also gone 6-4 ATS over their last 10 and are on a four game streak of covering.
The Lakers are also on a small streak when it comes to wins ATS. They've covered in three straight and are 5-5 over their last 10. This is a technically a home game for the Lakers so we'll find out if this makes a difference in the game or not.
