The Rockets will look to defend one of the best home court advantages in the NBA when they take on the streaking Clippers on Saturday. The two teams are currently locked into the #3 and #4 seeds in the Western Conference with the 4th place Rockets perhaps holding the better playoff projection against the slumping Trail Blazers. In spite of both teams not necessarily needing the win, games like this are a great measuring stick for future matchups.

Los Angeles has been on a nice straight up roll recently but their against the spread numbers leave something to be desired. The Clippers have lost money in four straight games as favorites and their ATS record in the last 10 is a dismal 3-6-1. For such a reportedly high-profile offense, over bettors have been getting crushed too with 7 straight totals going below the number.

Houston is 28-7 at the Toyota Center and holds a 4-game lead over Portland for home court in the first round of the playoffs with just under a dozen to play. The Rockets have been streaking lately and are on a 4 game winning streak.

The Clippers have a strong psychological edge going 3-0 against the Rockets this season. The teams most recently met up on February 26th at the Staples Center with LA being 5 point favorites. Blake Griffin and DeAndre Jordan put up double figures in points and rebounds and the Clipper defense forced 20 turnovers to win and cover 101-93 in a game that went well below the huge 222 total.
