Perhaps no team in the entire NBA is as hot as the Clippers right now, winners of 9 of their last 10. That being said the Mavericks already took down one of the upper echelon of the Western Conference this week with a 128-119 OT win over OKC on Tuesday and they look to defend their home court once again Thursday against LA.

Lob City's impressive play lately hasn't been especially kind to bettors though, as the Clippers have been against the spread losers in 3 straight games and paying out in only 4 of 10. The poor record could be partially attributed to oddsmakers respecting the supreme play of LA and listing them as double digit favorites in six of those games. The line looks to be much closer with the Mavericks playing equally impressive basketball as of late.

Dallas has defended American Airlines Arena earnestly during their 8-game home stand, posting a 3-2 record with both losses coming in overtime. They've covered the number in 6 of their last 10 as they look to hold off Phoenix for the 8th playoff spot and possibly even overtake Memphis for the #7 spot. Dirk Nowitzki led the way in Tuesday's win over the Thunder by scoring 32 points and grabbing 10 rebounds.

Fans could be in for an entertaining show Friday night as the teams have hooked up for two high-scoring affairs in their previous two matchups. The Clippers were favored in both games going 2-0 straight up and 1-1 ATS in a 119-112 win on January 3rd and a 129-127 victory on January 15th. It's hard not to expect more of the same Thursday night with both teams playing their best ball at the right time of the year.
