The Indiana Pacers played great defense throughout their Game 3 matchup with the Washington Wizards and took over in the second half to win 85-63 and take a 2-1 lead in the series. The 63 points that the Wizards scored was an all-time playoff low for their franchise and they made just four of their 16 three-point attempts in the loss.

Neither team shot particularly well in the first half and they went into the third quarter with a combined 67 points. The Pacers continued their dominant defense in the second half and were also able to make a few more baskets, outscoring the Wizards 26-12 in the third quarter and 25-18 in the fourth. There were a few times when it looked like Washington might get back into it, but the Pacers hit key shots down the stretch and ended up with the lopsided victory.

Paul George was the only player on either team who had a decent night on the offensive end of the floor, finishing with a game-high 23 points and he also grabbed eight rebounds and had three steals in the win. Center Roy Hibbert had 14 points and five rebounds for the visitors.

Bradley Beal scored a team-high 16 points for the Wizards, but he made just six of his 19 field goal attempts in the game. Trevor Ariza was Washington's best player in the game, scoring 12 points and pulling down 15 boards.
