The Indiana Pacers will be hoping that their solid defense can contain the high-scoring offense of the Dallas Mavericks on Monday night. The Mavs came away with both of the wins from their two games against the Pacers last year.

On Saturday night, the Pacers had their two-game winning streak come to an end when they were blown out 106-83 by the Phoenix Suns at home. They didn't shoot the ball well in that loss, making just 36.9 percent of their shots.

The Pacers have a good rebounding team this season, but they have only been able to score about 91 points per game. One Indiana player who has played well is center Roy Hibbert, who is currently averaging 13.1 points, 7.8 rebounds and just 1.8 turnovers per game.

The Mavericks lost for the first time in nearly two weeks on Saturday when they Houston Rockets beat them 95-92. The Mavs did have a 50-47 rebounding advantage in that game, but they also made just six of their 35 three-point attempts.

Through 14 games, the Mavericks have the top scoring team in the league and they are in the top five in assists per game. Guard Monta Ellis currently leads the team in scoring with 19.5 points per game, and assists with 4.6 per game. Center Tyson Chandler has scored 10.6 points per game while grabbing 10.4 rebounds per game.
