The last time these two teams met, the Indiana Pacers had won 10 straight at home and were looking for their 11th straight against the Charlotte Bobcats. The Pacers won the game 99-94 even with Paul George having an off night. The 11th win at home in a row to start the season was a franchise record. The Pacers also set a franchise record for reaching 20 wins faster than any other Pacer team.
This game wasn't a shoe-in for the Pacers and was only a one point game at halftime with Indiana up on Charlotte 56-55. This game was heading down to the wire and the Bobcats were leading by one with about five minutes left in the game. Lance Stephenson scored on a layup and took the lead. From there, the Pacers kept the lead in a close game. Stephenson finished with 20 points, 11 rebounds, seven assists and 2 steals.
Paul George finished the game with only 10 points on 2-12 shooting. Luckily Stephenson picked up the slack and had some help from Roy Hibbert, who finished the game with 18 points, 11 rebounds, one assist, one steal and three blocks.
Al Jefferson led the Bobcats with 21 points, nine rebounds, two assists and two blocks. His contributions were all for naught as the Bobcats couldn't keep up the pace when the game came down to the wire.
Indiana has beaten Charlotte in nine of the last 10 games these two have faced each other. In that period, the Pacers were 7-3 against the spread. Over their last month, the Pacers have played well straight up but haven't played as well ATS. They're below .500 ATS with their only wins coming at home.
Charlotte hasn't been much better ATS and haven't covered in three straight. However, the games they have covered in were at home and this game will be in Charlotte.
