The No. 8 seed Atlanta Hawks were able to shock the No. 1 seed Indiana Pacers yet again by beating them 107-97 in Game 5 to take a 3-2 lead in their series. The Hawks were able to make 15 of their 27 three-point attempts in the game and shot 50% overall from the field.

The game was close in the first quarter, but the Hawks went on a huge run in the second and ended up with a 21-point lead going into the half. The Pacers put on a bit of a comeback in the fourth quarter, but the deficit was just too big for them to overcome and they ended up losing by 10 points.

Shelvin Mack came off the bench for the Hawks and had 20 points, five assists and two steals in the win. Paul Millsap added 18 points, eight rebounds and four blocks for Atlanta, while shooting guard Kyle Korver had 16 points and nine boards.

The Pacers' All-Star center Roy Hibbert had yet another poor performance. He didn't even score a point or grab a rebound in the game and was benched after just 12 minutes on the floor.

Paul George did his part for Indiana by scoring a game-high 26 points and he also had 12 rebounds, six assists and six steals in the loss. Backup point guard C.J. Watson made three of his four three-point attempts and ended up with 15 points.
