In a Western Conference affair late Wednesday evening, the Houston Rockets will play at the Utah Jazz. This is the second game of the season for the Rockets, while it’s the opener for the Utah Jazz. The Houston Rockets know they have the roster to get to the NBA Finals. The trouble for the Rockets has been in their defense. The Rockets turn to Dwight Howard and James Harden to lead the scoring attack. Howard has been sidelined with a forearm injury, but all indications say he should play in this one. Harden led the team with 25.4 points per game a season ago.
The Utah Jazz are looking for answers. The Jazz have been under .500 in 3 of the last 4 seasons in the Western Conference. Utah a season ago was led in scoring by Gordon Hayward. The shooting guard scored 16.2 points per game, while Derrick Favors ripped down 8.7 rebounds per game. Utah in the pre-season won 5 out of 8, after winning their first four. In the pre-season finale, the Jazz were downed 105-100 to Phoenix.
