The Houston Rockets will be heading out on the road on Sunday night to take on the San Antonio Spurs, who have won just one of their last five home games. In their first game against each other this year, the Rockets were able to blow out the Spurs 98-81 in Houston.

On Friday night, the Rockets won their second straight game when they beat the Memphis Grizzlies 117-111 in overtime. They were much better than the Grizzlies on the boards in that game, finishing with a 54-44 rebounding advantage.

Through 28 games this season, the Rockets are one of the better rebounding teams in the league and are near the top of the NBA in points allowed. Terrence Jones is have a solid year by averaging 14 points and 7.5 rebounds while making 52.1 percent of his shots.

The Spurs have now lost six out of their last seven games after the New Orleans Pelicans beat them 97-90 on the road on Friday night. They were outrebounded 44-39 in that loss and ended up committing 17 turnovers.

Even with their recent struggles, the Spurs are still near the top of the Western Conference in both rebounding and assists per game. Point guard Tony Parker currently leads San Antonio in scoring with 16.2 points per game, and he has made 62.1 percent of his three-point attempts. Veteran Tim Duncan has been able to average a double-double of 16.1 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
