The Houston Rockets, who are 11-3 on the road this season, will be visiting the New Orleans Pelicans on Friday night. The first time these two teams played each other this season, the Pelicans were able to defeat the Rockets 99-90 in Houston.

The Rockets kept their hot streak going on Wednesday night when they routed the Charlotte Hornets 102-83 on their home floor. They didn't shoot the ball particularly well in that game, but they were able to hold the Hornets to a low 38.2 field goal percentage.

So far this season, the Rockets have scored just over 101 points per game while holding their opponents to around 95 points per game. Center Dwight Howard has made just under 60 percent of his shot attempts this season and is now averaging 18.8 points and 11.6 rebounds per game. Shooting guard James Harden is the team's leading scorer by averaging 27.7 points per game.

The Pelicans came back to force overtime in their game against the San Antonio Spurs on Wednesday, but they ended up losing that game 95-92 in the extra period. They did well on the boards in that loss, but they only made 38.2 percent of their shots.

Through 32 games, the Pelicans are right in the middle of the rankings in scoring, rebounding and assists per game. Point guard Jrue Holiday is having his best season in the NBA by averaging 15.6 points and a team-high 7.3 assists per game.
