The Houston Rockets will face off against the Miami Heat on Sunday for the third time this season. The two have split on the season but most recently, the Rockets were winners 106-103. The last time these two met up, the game started fast for the Rockets and they jumped out to a 7-0 lead. LeBron James kept the Heat in this game one day after scoring a career high 61 points against the Charlotte Bobcats the night before.
The Rockets kept the lead and were up 39-32 at the end of the first half. In the second half, LeBron James went cold. Fatigued or not, James just didn't have the touch and went 1-for-7 after halftime. The Heat never led in this one but tied it up twice in the fourth quarter. Houston was up by 13 points early in the fourth when the Heat made their first run to tie the game up at 91 with under seven minutes remaining. The next tie was at 93 before the Rockets went on a run of their own to open up a nine point lead with around two minutes left. The Heat made one more run and were down by three with the ball. LeBron had the last shot and couldn't finish it out.
Dwight Howard led the Rockets with 22 points, 16 rebounds and an assist on the night. He also played great defense on James during that last play. He got help from James Harden who added 21 points and 11 assists on the night.
LeBron James finished the game with 22 points one night after hitting his career high. Dwayne Wade added 24 points and six assists, while Michael Beasley chipped in with 24 points on 9-of-13 shooting.
