The Houston Rockets will go on the road to face the Memphis Grizzlies on Monday night in a game between two of the best defenses in the league.

The Rockets and the Grizzlies played in one of the better regular season series last year, with both teams picking up two wins. The only blowout in the series came in their last game against each other, when the Grizzlies beat the Rockets 99-81 at home.

Rockets big man Dwight Howard has played well against the Grizzlies over the years, averaging 14.5 points and 10.6 rebounds per game against them. James Harden has scored 16.3 points per game against Memphis in 18 career games, while veteran Trevor Ariza has averaged 10 points and 4.8 rebounds per game against them.

The Grizzlies won their third game in a row on Saturday when they beat the Detroit Pistons 95-88 on the road. They only shot 37.2 percent from the field in that game, but they did finish with a 53-43 rebounding advantage.

Through 10 games, the Grizzlies have the top defense in the NBA by only allowing their opponents to score 91.3 points per game against them. Center Marc Gasol has had a good start by scoring 18.5 points per game and grabbing 7.5 rebounds per game. Forward Zach Randolph is averaging 16.7 points and a team-high 11.6 rebounds per game.
